Each one of these intentionally crafted prayer rugs are made of 100% pure raw wool from local free-ranged small-scale flocks of Tunisia. Plant-dyed using organic fig leaves and iron nails, in the traditional method.

These rugs were spun, dyed, and woven by hand by North African artisans in their homes and on their own schedules. Purchase means fair income for artisans, craft keepers and communities of this region.

Each are made and offered with an intention to prompt reflection on the production and materials of prayer rugs, clothing, and other materials around the world, which are unfortunately too often produced in exploitative conditions and of pollutive materials. Designed with hallowed purpose, TUNIQ sought a simple design that would facilitate focus and calm in meditation, contemplation, and prayer.

Use as general home decor if preferred. The size of each color block and the shades of green may vary.
