This New Moon will not support rigidity. Life is not rigid. We see this through the timing of the tides - with loose predictability, never fully reliable. This post offers a poetic meditation on the upcoming New Moon, on July 12th - 13th.

This full moon is a potent time to find space within and invite empathy to flourish. Empathy is an emotional way to strip away the weight of the superficial and find space to connect with the core of life at any time.

We live in a time where younger individuals are deciding to open up about their identity to parents and other adults, and it's exceedingly important that they get the support they need. Often, that support is not found at home - which makes school the second most impactful environment for them.

It's been said that the hardest part of "awakening" is moving past our own being. As our energy builds and rises, we come to a point of higher Self-awareness. This often becomes the stopping point for so many, as they are intoxicated by their own reflection in the great cosmic whirlpool. These people often corrode, unable to turn back, and unwilling to move forward. It is in these times that we must not only begin anew, but be willing to step through to humility, even after discovering the hidden treasure.

Thankfully, they're also the type to speak up about the topics that go wholly unnoticed within the same industries that should be discussing it the most.

These dark days of the moon are the moments to allow ourselves to unfurl. Self discovery happens in the still moments, like a tiger calmly walking close to the ground under the moonless night, eyes ablaze with an inner fire to guide them. Sometimes when the lights go out, we then can find the light of our own being. Shadow work leads us to our path, because light is easiest to find in the darkness. 

There is a domino effect when it comes to the vanishing of species. We may not be aware of the direct relation between a tiny plankton living in the ocean and the water we drink, but it becomes clearer the closer we look.

During this time, some of us may feel like we've just begun finding a stable routine and rhythm to our lives. Despite our anxieties and mercury dancing in reverse, we're perhaps finally feeling some semblance of normality. But did we ever want normal? 

When walking through any greenhouse or garden, it becomes blindingly clear that nature is genderless. Or, perhaps better to say it contains all genders, and all possibilities.
